Our itinerary begins in the spectacular highlands, where we'll travel by private coach from Aberdeen to the town of Aberlour on the river Spey. There we'll spend 3 nights in a quintessential B&B, experiencing the hospitality of the Scots and enjoying some truly memorable meals (best eggs Benedict you’ll ever have!).
Pastoral and quaint, Aberlour will relax your body and soul in equal measure as the pace of life slows and we take the time to savor the best of simple pleasures. Want to try your hand at fly fishing? The Spey is straight-out-of-a-movie scenic, as well as famous for salmon and trout. Or maybe you’d prefer a round of golf where the game began? You'll have your choice on this trip!
But the essence of Speyside is found in a glass - yes, whisky! Speyside is home to many of the finest single-malts on earth, and we'll take you to the best of them. We have several amazing distilleries on our itinerary, including an exclusive tour of a single-estate distillery that is about to take the whisky world by storm - oh and we'll tour the family castle as well, where we might just end up having tea next to the lord and lady of the manor...
From Aberlour we'll travel through Cairngorms National Park to one of the world's great cities: Edinburgh, where we'll have 3 nights to explore this hub of European culture. From medieval castles and churches to modern art, literary landmarks to world-class shopping, we'll direct your free time in whatever directions excite you most (as well as leading a few options ourselves). And don't forget the cuisine! Edinburgh is home to some of the finest dining on earth and we'll end our trip at the brilliant, Michelin-starred Kitchin.
But the highlight of it all might be our side-trip to the distillery of Glengoyne outside of Glasgow. There you'll get to try your hand at blending the perfect boutique Scotch (with only the finest ingredients!). This class, is one of the most crowd-pleasing experiences in all our tours and we can't wait to share it with you!
